SURPRISE WIKI!

So I've been spending the last bit of time during finals week putting up this wiki. I was working on the GDD, and figured this would be a better way to organize things since you won't have to read through a ton of foolishness to get to the one thing you want. We can also catalog the monsters and NPCs better this way.

For now, please don't edit pages unless you notice something blatantly wrong, spelled incorrectly, confusing (and you know for sure what it was I was trying to say), or if TheGood or I have asked you to.

There is one thing I would like you guys to do, monsters! If you have a monster on the approved monsters list, please make a page for him! You can look at Drilba or Fireena's page on how to format it. Though those two monsters' pages are somewhat lacking in content, I encourage you guys to develop the characters for your monsters as much as you can (personality, habitat, diet, etc). If you're having trouble, you can click on edit to see the formatting for each page.

Please make sure you use the correct infobox template when creating your monster's page!

In the editor, on the right hand side, scroll down to find the tab labeled templates and click add other templates. When it comes up, type in Template:[Type]MonsterInfo (capitalization is important, and replace [type] with the type of your monster). You should then get a dialogue that asks for all the info of your monster. It's highly recommended that you upload an image. For the mean time, you can hide the Base Stats box, since we haven't determined that. To hide a category type in anything into the "hide" box for the category. Also, to get the images for the types use [[File:Earth.png]] and replace Earth with whatever type you need to grab. Refer to http://prismonline.wikia.com/wiki/Skill_trees for info on what types there are, and which types to designate your monster (choose 1 primary, and 2 subs).

Also, you can add NPCs in a similar fashion by using Template:NPCInfo . Feel free to ask any questions if you're having problems.

So yep, this is our open GDD. Even though you can mod any page, please don't just go changing features that are already written up but instead as usual, start a discussion here so that everyone can have a say in what you're proposing and so that everyone's clear on what's being changed and why.

I second all of this.
Do something to make yourselves more a part of this community.
This wiki will essentially be out new GDD.
Put your approved monsters up, so everybody can see.
Also, if you need help, let indie or me know, and we'll help you out. It can be a bit tough at first if you've never edited wikis.

Sooo, i think i got Vorph published, but i messed up the pictuer somehow :s
Also the text goes from darkish to white and i have no idea why >_<

it shall be fixed.
i'll try to figure out what you did wrong

EDIT:

• Try and make the template the first thing on the page. It'll mess up formatting if it isn't.
  
  
• Once you upload a picture to the wiki, it's filename will be what you designated. So, since you designated yours as Vorph, it's simply Vorph.jpg not any of the photobucket stuff.
  
  
• Use the [[File:Earth.png]] format for types. just typing the names with a + in between doesn't work.
  
  
• Since we haven't yet settled on the stats, you'll want to type "Yes" into the Hides or Hidestats box.
  
  
• Make sure to include imperial AND metric measurements.
  
  
• Indie is the artist, since she made the 3d render, and you're the designer, since you designed it.
